14. Visit Three Cities I've never been to - Part 1

Hey y'all,

Wow, I haven't posted in almost three weeks! Sorry about that. Seriously, October and November are turning out to be the busiest months of this year for me. I have been and am working on one of my biggest thirty by thirty items and was out of town working on that and for work for three weeks straight. I hope to be able to report successes soon!

While working on this item, I actually ended up in a city that I've never visited - Atlanta! Although I didn't have much time to see the sights, I DID get to go to dinner with one of my awesome cousins and a good friend from grade school! I normally get to see both of them once or twice a year, so it was a lot of fun to see them and catch up!

If you are around me when the Olympics are on, you know that I'm obsessed. So when I found out that I was going to Atlanta, I immediately thought, "1996 Olympics!" Honestly though, if you weren't looking for it, you would never know the Olympics were ever in Atlanta. It brought the city some massive growth, but the only items that really stand out as "Olympic" are Centennial Park, a gateway over a street that has the Olympic symbol and the torch tower, which can be seen from the highway . I was looking for a gas station on my way to the airport and happened to get off by Turner Field (home of the Atlanta Braves) and all the sudden, I saw this:

Apparently in my Olympic obsession, I missed the memo that Turner Field was the Olympic Stadium. I REALLY want to go to an Olympic Games in the future (this is on my big bucket list), but it was cool to see anyway.

Side note: we had a pretty busy weekend this weekend and Cash crashed this afternoon after all of the playing he did. We went for a good run, he went swimming, AND he got to take a nap with me in our bed (it's possible that we don't allow him on our bed....and I might have put him on it anyway because I missed him while I was gone and wanted to snuggle). He also got to see both sets of his grandparents and one of his uncles and his aunt. Spoiled, spoiled boy.

Hope y'all have a good week!

Until next time,

Never Give Up

Hey y'all!

Sometimes it's hard to stay focused and keep my eye on the prize. This is my mantra pushing me through the times I really want to go to sleep or watch a movie with Ryan and not spend extra time studying.

Do you have a mantra keeping you focused on a goal?

It's Fall Y'all!!

Hey y'all!

Happy October!! The last couple of weeks have been crazy and the next few are about to be even crazier (hence my lack of posts last week and the fewer number of posts to come this month)! I'm taking quite a few CPA exams in the next couples of months and have been studying like crazy! This is also paired with being busy at work. When you're super busy at work, do you ever just wonder where the days and weeks go?? Any positive thoughts and prayers are always appreciated.

I am SO excited that it's fall. I love the weather, the trees changing colors, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. I'm further north than normal this week for training for work and the weather is definitely "fall." Hoping that Tulsa feels more like this when I get home! I also love ALL fall smells. Thought I would share my three favorite things right now!

First - cinnamon vanilla sugar scrub. I LOVE that this scrub is technically edible. I know EXACTLY what is going into it and am excited to add this to my shower regime. I will definitely be making this sometime this month!

I've already been using this soap like crazy in my house. As in, half a bottle in two weeks. I might just wash my hands 100 times because I like the smell...
Andddd my favorite - Starbucks caramel apple spice ! I don't drink caffeine and have never liked the taste of coffee, so the Pumpkin Spice Latte really isn't my cup of tea. I seriously look forward to the caramel apple spices coming back all year long!

Oh, and how can I forget FOOTBALL?! It's football season which means that games are on at our house more than anything else. Let's be honest, I watch my favorites, but Ryan watches them all (thank you fantasy football). With that, I must say WOO PIG SOOIE! Go Hogs, Go!

What are your favorite things about fall?
